LangIsland is an online language learning community platform that connects learners for structured conversation practice sessions. The platform provides tools for scheduling sessions, managing participation, and tracking progress through a points-based system.
3. User Accounts
You must register for an account to use most features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Community Guidelines
Users are expected to treat all community members with respect and courtesy. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, and disruptive behavior are strictly prohibited. Session hosts are responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment. Users who repeatedly violate community guidelines may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
5. Points System
LangIsland uses a points-based system to encourage participation. Points are earned by hosting and joining sessions, and may be deducted for inactivity or no-shows. Points have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash. We reserve the right to modify the points system at any time.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and materials on LangIsland are the property of LangIsland or its licensors. Users retain ownership of content they create (such as session topics and discussion questions) but grant LangIsland a non-exclusive license to use such content for platform operations. You may not copy, modify, or distribute platform content without permission.
7. Disclaimers
LangIsland is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. We are not responsible for the quality of conversations or interactions between users. Users participate in sessions at their own discretion. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
